Do you ever feel like a plastic bag, drifting through the wind wanting to start again?  Do you ever feel so paper thin, like a house of cards one blow from caving in? Now, these words may not be my own, but for the purpose of this post, let’s just pretend they are!

It’s so easy to get swept away by our everyday lives.  We get involved in sports and clubs, relationships take up hours of our time, and as if that all weren’t enough, throw in school work and nagging parents.  When you stand back and look at it all, it’s normal to think that there’s absolutely no way around this mountain.

Katy Perry speaks of a “chance” that we all still have because there’s this magical “spark” inside of us.  Now, I don’t know about you, but it would be pretty darn cool if I could shoot fireworks out of my chest (check out the music video here and you’ll see what I’m talking about).  But let’s take a different look at those lyrics…

What if that spark was, in fact, the Holy Spirit?  What if just by calling out His name, the Lord could send out His “fireworks” in the shape of love?  If we “ignite the Light”, HIS LIGHT, then there is no possible way that the world would not be in awe!

Maybe the reason why all the doors are closed, is so you can open one that leads you to the perfect road.  You just have to remember that the Lord has laid out His plans for you.  Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

So when the world has you down and feeling like you’re not worth much, just ignite HIS light…

Leave those around you standing in awe under His magnificent display…cause baby, you’re a firework!
